Known gaps
Everything in the app that is advertised, half-built, or does not work — in one place.
On this page
This page lists every part of the app we know is missing or broken.
The summary below is written by hand, in rough order of how much each one is likely to cost you. The complete list at the bottom is generated from the articles themselves at build time, so nothing can quietly fall off it — if an article stops describing a gap, it disappears from that list automatically.
The list below is grouped by how much it is likely to cost you.
Things you may have paid for
- "PDF export" means printing from your browser. There is no generated file. Details.
Fixed on 27 July 2026
Two features were advertised and did not exist. Rather than leave the claims up, we removed them:
- The sidereal zodiac toggle was listed on Plus. The app calculates tropical only, so the claim is gone from the pricing, features and how-it-works pages, and Plus no longer grants it. Details.
- The Pro REST API was listed on Pro. It was never built, so the claim is gone from the features page and Pro no longer grants it. Details.
If you subscribed while either claim was up, that is exactly what the refund policy is for. Ask, and say which one.
Controls that do nothing
Four buttons in Account are on the page but not connected:
- Request a data export — and this one matters, because the section describes the app as GDPR-native.
- Change your email address.
- Upload a profile photo.
- Update your password — the button is inert, but password reset works and does the same job.
Every one of them has a working manual route. Ask and we do it.
Deleting your account now works — Account → Privacy and data, immediate, with the subscription cancelled first. Fixed 27 July 2026.
Things that behave surprisingly
- The notification toggles do not save, and no notification emails are sent at all. Details.
- Gift codes lapse silently back to Free, with only an in-app banner as warning. Details.
- Branded share links stop working the moment a Pro plan ends — including links already sent to clients. Details.
- "Manage plan" bounces you to the upgrade page if your access came from a code rather than a checkout. Details.
- The chart page can show a sample chart without saying so, when it cannot load yours. Details.
- Referrals are described in full and are not active. Details.
Smaller ones
- Signing up is email and password only — no Google, no Apple, no magic link. Details.
- The birth-place search silently falls back to a small built-in city table when the place service is unreachable, so smaller towns vanish from the results. Details.
Documentation and policy
- The privacy policy covers the marketing site only. It does not mention app accounts, birth data, charts, or Stripe. What actually happens to your data.
- There is no refunds page and no terms page. The policy is real; it is written here.
- Unknown-birth-time charts are not marked at the activation level, despite the account page saying uncertain activations are flagged. Details.
Not yet verified
- Chart Details colour, tone and the four arrows have not completed their check against reference charts. Treat them as provisional. Details.
Not built
- No installable app and no offline mode. Details.
- No invoice list in the app — invoices live in the Stripe portal. Details.
Every gap article, generated
This list is built from the articles at compile time. If it disagrees with the summary above, trust this one.
Getting started
- Creating your account — Email and password, a confirmation step, and what we do not offer yet.
Charts & calculation
- What happens if you do not know your birth time — You still get most of your chart. Here is exactly what changes and what does not.
- Your birth place is not in the list — How the place search works, what to do when your town is missing, and what it costs you.
- The chart page is showing someone else's chart — The app falls back to a sample chart when it cannot load yours. How to tell, and what to do.
Reading your chart
- The Chart Details page — The deep mechanics view — where to find it, and what is not yet verified.
Exports & sharing
- Printing or saving your one-sheet as a PDF — The one-sheet prints from your browser. There is no server-side PDF export.
- Branded share links for clients — Pro-only, carries your practice branding — and stops working if your Pro plan lapses.
Plans & billing
- Managing or cancelling your subscription — Everything happens in the billing portal. And why the button sometimes seems to do nothing.
- Invoices and receipts — They live in the Stripe billing portal. There is no invoice list in the app.
- Trial codes and gift codes — the important difference — One asks for a card and starts charging you. The other does not, and lapses silently.
- Refunds — A 14-day window, requested by email. There is no refund button in the app.
- Referrals — The referrals section is described in full and does not work yet.
Account, data & privacy
- Changing your password — The Account button does not work. Use the password reset flow instead.
- Changing your email address — The Account button does not work. We can change it for you.
- Your profile photo — The upload control is not connected. Nothing is lost by ignoring it.
- Notification settings — The three toggles do not save, and no notification emails are sent at all.
- Exporting your data — The Account button is not connected. Ask us and we will send you everything within one month.
- Where your data lives — Every service that touches your data, what it gets, and what our privacy policy does not yet cover.
Troubleshooting
- Browsers, devices and offline use — What the app needs, and why there is no installable app or offline mode.
Why this page exists
Every product has a list like this. Most keep it internal. Keeping it public costs us something in first impressions and saves you the hour you would otherwise spend hunting for a toggle that is not there.
If something is broken and is not on this list, tell us and it goes on.
