Changing your email address
The Account button does not work. We can change it for you.
This article describes something in the app that is missing, partly built, or advertised elsewhere and not actually available. It says what happens today and how to get the outcome by hand. Everything of this kind is listed on known gaps.
On this page
Account → Account → Change, next to your email address, does nothing when clicked. The handler was never connected.
There is no self-service way to change your email address today. This is on our known gaps list.
The manual route
Write to us from the address currently on the account, telling us the new address you want.
Sending from the existing address is the check that you own the account, so please do it that way — it saves a round of back-and-forth. If you have lost access to the old mailbox entirely, say so and we will find another way to verify you.
We will make the change and confirm to both addresses.
What changes with it
Your email address is your sign-in identifier, so after the change you sign in with the new one. Your password does not change. Charts, library, client records, subscription and share links are all unaffected — it is the same account with a different label.
If your subscription is billed to the old address
Stripe holds its own copy of your billing email, and it is separate from your sign-in address. Update it in the billing portal — Account → Plan and billing → Manage plan — otherwise receipts keep going to the old mailbox. Tell us if you want us to check.
If you signed up with a typo
The same route applies, but mention it, because an account created against a mistyped address may never have been confirmed — in which case we need to confirm it manually as well as change it.
