Deleting your account
One control in Account. It happens immediately, and here is exactly what goes.
On this page
Account → Privacy and data → Delete account. Type DELETE, enter your password, confirm. It happens straight away.
There is no waiting period and no undo. Once it is done we cannot restore the account, because there is nothing left to restore from.
Before you do it
Export your data first if you want a copy. See exporting your data. Afterwards is too late.
You do not need to cancel your subscription first. Deleting cancels any live subscription for you, before anything else happens — and if that cancellation fails for any reason, the deletion stops there and nothing is removed. You will not end up deleted and still billed.
What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in credentials.
- Every chart, including the birth data you entered — dates, times, places, coordinates.
- Every activation and reading derived from them.
- Client records, sessions, notes and tags, if you are on Pro.
- Your practitioner branding.
- Every share link you created, branded or not. They stop working immediately, including links already in other people's hands.
- Your marketing record, which is stripped of your name and address and marked as erased.
- Your support messages, which are stripped of your name, address and message body.
What is kept, and why
Two things, both deliberate.
Payment records. Invoices, amounts and dates are retained by Stripe and by us for the seven years Austrian and EU tax law requires. This is a legal obligation and consent does not override it. What is retained is the transaction, not your charts.
A dated note that a deletion happened. It holds your internal account id and a one-way hash of your email address — not the address itself. That is enough for us to show we did what you asked if you ever need to check, and not enough to identify you from. You will get an email confirming it at the moment it runs.
That is the whole list. There is no shadow copy of your charts kept "just in case".
If something goes wrong
If the deletion cannot complete, you will get a plain error and a reference code, and nothing will have been removed — the checks that can fail all run before anything is destroyed. The one exception is a genuine mid-flight failure, which tells you so explicitly and gives you a reference. In that case write to us quoting it and we will finish it by hand the same day.
If you have an active payment plan on the account, deletion is blocked and asks you to contact us — that is a database constraint we would rather surface honestly than work around.
Frequently asked questions
Can I get my account back?
No. Deletion is immediate and permanent, which is why it asks for your password.
What happens to charts I made for other people?
They are yours, stored in your account, so they are deleted with it. If someone else needs their chart, send them a copy before you delete.
Can I delete my data but keep the account?
Delete individual charts from your Library instead. See editing or deleting a chart.
