Exporting your data
The Account button is not connected. Ask us and we will send you everything within one month.
This article describes something in the app that is missing, partly built, or advertised elsewhere and not actually available. It says what happens today and how to get the outcome by hand. Everything of this kind is listed on known gaps.
On this page
Account → Privacy and data → Request export does nothing when clicked. The handler was never connected, despite the section header describing the app as "GDPR-native".
Your right to a copy of your data is real regardless of whether our button works. Here is how to exercise it today.
The manual route
Write to us from the address on your account and ask for an export.
We will send you a machine-readable file containing:
- Your account record — name, email address, pronouns, when the account was created.
- Every chart you have saved, including the birth data you entered and the calculated activations.
- Client records and session notes, if you are on Pro.
- Your share links and their status.
- Your subscription and plan history.
We do this by hand at the moment, so it is not instant. Under the GDPR we have one month to respond, and we will not use all of it — expect it in days, not weeks. If a month passes without a response from us, that is a failure on our part and you should say so plainly.
Payment records are held by Stripe. For the payment itself Stripe acts on our instructions, but it is also an independent controller in its own right for fraud prevention and the regulatory checks it is legally required to run — so some of that data is its responsibility, not ours. Ask and we will tell you how to request those records, or ask Stripe directly.
Why the button is broken and the right is not
The two are unrelated. A data subject access request is a legal obligation on us, not a feature of the software. The button is a convenience we have not finished building. It is at the top of our known gaps list precisely because it is the one where the gap between the copy and the code has consequences.
What is in your data
If you want to know what we hold and where it sits before requesting a copy, where your data lives sets it out.
Deleting rather than exporting
See deleting your account. Export first if you want a copy — deletion is not reversible.
