You keep getting signed out
Sessions are cookie-based. Here is what drops them, in order of likelihood.
On this page
Your session is a cookie. Anything that removes or refuses that cookie signs you out.
The usual causes
Private or incognito browsing. The session is discarded when you close the window. Every visit starts signed out. This is the browser working correctly.
Blocking cookies. If your browser or an extension blocks cookies for the site, sign-in appears to succeed and then immediately fails, because the session cannot be stored. Allow cookies for this site specifically.
Aggressive privacy settings. Safari's Intelligent Tracking Prevention and equivalents in privacy-focused browsers can expire site data after a period of not visiting. If you use the app weekly rather than daily, this is the likeliest cause.
Clearing browsing data. Clearing cookies signs you out everywhere. Expected, but easy to forget you did it.
A genuinely expired session. Sessions do not last forever. Signing in again is normal after a long gap.
What it is not
Being signed out does not mean anything happened to your account or your data. Charts, library and subscription are stored on our side, not in the browser. Sign in and everything is where you left it.
If it happens several times a day
That is not normal and worth reporting. Before you write, check:
- Whether it also happens in a different browser on the same device.
- Whether it also happens on a different device on the same network.
- Whether you have an extension that clears cookies on a timer — several privacy extensions do this by default.
Send us those three answers with your report and it saves a full round of questions. Use the support form rather than plain email if you can, since it attaches your browser details automatically.
If you cannot get back in at all
Use password reset. It works even if you have not forgotten the password.
