The Copy link control on the Chart, Transits and Relationships pages creates a public link to what you are currently looking at.

A snapshot of the view at the moment you created it — the chart as drawn, not a live query against your account. Anyone with the link can open it without signing in and without an account.

Treat the link itself as the credential. It is long and unguessable, but there is no password on top of it, so anyone you forward it to can forward it on.

What it does not contain

The link does not give access to your account, your library, or any other chart. It is one view, not a door.

Account → Shared links lists every link you have created, and lets you revoke any of them. A revoked link stops resolving immediately.

Links also expire on their own 30 days after you create them, so a link you sent last year is already dead. If you need a client or a friend to keep access, send them a printed one-sheet instead.

Re-sharing the same view

Copying the link for a view you have already shared reuses the existing link rather than creating a second one. That keeps the list in Account manageable and means a link you already sent someone does not silently become one of several.

After you edit the chart

A share link carries a snapshot, so editing the underlying birth data does not update a link you already sent. Revoke the old one and share again. See editing or deleting a chart.

If you are a practitioner

There is a second, different kind of link for sending charts to clients under your own branding, with tighter rules about what it exposes. See branded share links.
