Client records and sessions
How Pro keeps client charts separate from your own library.
On this page
Pro adds a Clients section that is separate from your ordinary chart library. The separation is the feature.
Why it is separate
A chart you cast out of curiosity and a chart belonging to a paying client are different objects with different obligations. Mixing them means your client list is buried among your friends' charts, and it means client material is one careless share away from your personal library.
So client records live in their own section, with their own fields, and they do not appear in Library.
What a client record holds
- The person's chart, cast from their birth data.
- Sessions — dated entries for each time you work together.
- Notes on the record and on individual sessions.
- Tags, for however you organise your practice.
- A recording URL, if you record sessions and host them elsewhere.
- Any branded share links you have issued for that client.
Session briefs
Each client has a brief view: their chart, what is live in it by transit, and your notes, on one page for preparing before a session.
Creating a client
Clients → New client. This is a different form from New chart, and choosing the right one matters: a chart created through New chart lands in your library and cannot be promoted into a client record afterwards.
What is not included
There is no API for pulling client data out — see is there an API?. If you need your client records outside the app, write to us and we will export them for you.
If your Pro plan ends
Client records are not deleted, but the Clients section becomes inaccessible and every branded link you issued stops resolving. Export anything you need before cancelling.
