Gate 39 is the Root's provocative pulse. It presses on what is blocked to release what is trapped beneath. The provocation is not cruelty. It is the touch that wakes something up. Done correctly, it liberates. Done carelessly, it just creates friction. Gate 39 sits in the Root and connects to Gate 55 in the Solar Plexus via the Channel of Moodiness (39-55). Gate 55 is the spirit gate: the seat of emotional abundance. Gate 39 is the pressure that awakens or disturbs that spirit. The moodiness in the channel name comes from the fluctuating Root pressure combined with Gate 55's emotional wave.
