Gate 3 · Difficulty at the Beginning

Gate 3 is the energy of something genuinely new trying to take form for the first time. New things are always awkward. The disorder of Gate 3 is not a failure state, it is the mechanics of real mutation beginning. Gate 3 sits in the Sacral and connects to Gate 60 in the Root via the Channel of Mutation (3-60). This is one of the most significant channels in Human Design: it carries the pulse of individual mutation. Gate 60 is the limitation that holds until the mutation pulse fires; Gate 3 is the chaotic output when it does.
