Gate 1 · Self-Expression

Gate 1 is the drive to make something new. Not for an audience, not for a response. The act of creating is the point. Your chart's creative charge lives here: the originating impulse that comes before any question of form or purpose. Gate 1 sits in the G Center and connects to Gate 8 in the Throat via the Channel of the Creative Role Model (1-8). When both gates are defined, there is a live line from identity to expression. On its own, Gate 1 holds the creative charge without a built-in outlet.
