Single definition means every defined centre in your chart is connected into one group. The trade is that you can be harder to interrupt, and you may not notice how much your own consistency shapes a room.

Split definition means your defined centres form two separate groups that do not touch. You will feel a pull toward whatever bridges the gap, which usually shows up as attraction to particular people, and it is worth knowing that the pull is mechanical rather than personal. Once you can see which gate bridges your split, the pattern in who you seek out stops being mysterious.

Triple split definition means three separate groups of defined centres. Integration takes longer and depends more on being around a variety of people rather than one bridging person. Busy environments often suit this design better than quiet ones, which runs against the usual advice to withdraw when overwhelmed.

Quadruple split definition means four separate groups of defined centres. It is rare. The design tends to be highly specific about what it needs, and it usually takes longer to feel settled, so patience with your own timing matters more here than in any other definition.

No definition means no centre in the chart is defined, which is the Reflector design. Nothing is fixed, so everything is sampled from the environment and from the transits. This is why where a Reflector lives and who they spend time with matters more than it does for anyone else, and why waiting a full lunar cycle before a significant decision is the strategy.
