Channel 1-8 · Inspiration
Throat to G
Gate 1 holds the pure creative impulse. Gate 8 gives it a voice through the Throat. Together they produce the Creative Role Model archetype: someone whose authentic, individual creative expression becomes a contribution to others simply by being genuinely itself. The G Center-to-Throat connection means creative identity expresses directly through voice and action. There is no gap between who this person is creatively and how they show up. In the Individual circuit, the expression is genuinely individual: not shaped by collective needs or tribal approval. The role modeling happens precisely because the expression is so unmistakably individual that it demonstrates what authentic expression looks like.
Channel 2-14 · The Beat
Sacral to G
Gate 2 is the G Center's receptive container of direction: the site of the Magnetic Monopole, the force that draws the Self toward what is correct. Gate 14 is the Sacral's generative energy in service of that direction. Together they produce the Keeper of Keys archetype: someone who holds both the knowing of where to go and the sustained power to get there. The Sacral connects to the G Center in this channel. The Magnetic Monopole in the G Center provides the direction; Gate 14 provides the energy to follow it.
Channel 3-60 · Mutation
Sacral to Root
Gate 60 is the Root's limitation: the pressure that holds until it cannot hold anymore. Gate 3 is the Sacral's chaotic output when the mutation fires. Together they carry the pulse of individual evolution: nothing moves, then everything does, and what emerges is genuinely new. This channel does not run continuously. Gate 60 accumulates pressure during quiet periods, when nothing seems to be changing and the Sacral appears dormant. Then the pulse fires: Gate 3 releases the accumulated pressure as rapid, disruptive change. The mutation is not logical improvement or gradual refinement.
Channel 4-63 · Logic
Head to Ajna
Gate 63 generates the Head's logical pressure of doubt: the question that will not let go, the need to know whether what seems complete actually holds up. Gate 4 takes that pressure and works to produce formulaic answers, logical frameworks, workable responses. Together they produce a mind that is never quite at rest because there is always another question being processed. The Head connects to the Ajna in this channel. This is a purely mental channel. It carries no authority and produces no life decisions. Its function is cognitive: to generate questions and work toward logical answers.
Channel 5-15 · Rhythm
Sacral to G
Gate 5 carries the body's attunement to natural timing. Gate 15 loves the full range of human behavioral extremes without judgment. Together they produce a quality of flow that accommodates enormous behavioral variation while maintaining an underlying rhythm that is genuine and unforced. The Sacral connects directly to the G Center in this channel. The generative life force is linked to the Self's direction. The rhythm is not a technique the person applies; it is who they are. In the Collective Logic circuit, this quality demonstrates what natural flow looks like.
Channel 6-59 · Mating
Solar Plexus to Sacral
Gate 59 carries the Sacral's generative drive toward closeness. Gate 6 governs the emotional mechanics of whether the aura opens or closes to genuine contact. Together they manage the tribal process of bringing people close enough for real bonding, and of protecting the person when the conditions for closeness are not right. The Sacral-to-Solar Plexus connection means the intimacy drive (Gate 59) must pass through the emotional gate (Gate 6) before genuine contact occurs. Gate 6 rides the emotional wave. At different points in the wave, the gate opens differently.
Channel 7-31 · The Alpha
G to Throat
Gate 7 holds the G Center's directional orientation for the collective. Gate 31 is the Throat's voice for leading. Together they produce leadership that is fundamentally democratic: it works because the collective has recognized the direction as genuinely good for them, not because a position was claimed. The G Center-to-Throat connection means the directional knowing moves directly to expression. In the Collective Logic circuit, this leadership role is earned through recognition, tested through evidence, and sustained by genuine service to the group. Gate 31's leadership voice operates through invitation. When the direction is recognized and the person is called forward, the voice has extraordinary impact.
Channel 9-52 · Concentration
Sacral to Root
Gate 52 is the Root's stillness: not stagnation but the concentrated quiet of a mountain. Gate 9 is the Sacral's capacity to focus on the particular, the precise, the small. Together they produce sustained concentration that serves the collective by refining what others cannot stay with long enough to refine. The Sacral connects to the Root in this channel. Gate 52's stillness prevents scattered action; Gate 9's Sacral energy provides the genuine motivation to do the detailed work. In the Collective Logic circuit, this concentration tests and refines patterns. Logic improves through the patient accumulation of detail.
Channel 10-20 · Awakening
G to Throat
Gate 10 is the G Center's alignment between identity and behavior. Gate 20 is the Throat's expression of being fully in the present moment. Together they produce someone whose presence in the now is an act of awakening: for themselves and, involuntarily, for those around them. The G Center-to-Throat connection here means identity expresses directly as present-moment voice and action. In the Integration circuit, this channel serves the individual's immediate survival and alignment with their environment. There is no gap between being and doing in this channel. The person simply is, and the quality of that being has immediate impact.
Channel 10-57 · Perfected Form
G to Spleen
Gate 10 is the G Center's alignment between identity and action. Gate 57 is the Spleen's instantaneous intuitive knowing about what is correct right now. Together they produce someone whose behavior is guided by a precise inner compass: both authentic to the self and intuitively correct for the situation. The G Center connects to the Spleen in this channel. The Self's identity (who you genuinely are) is in ongoing communication with the body's present-moment intelligence (what is correct here, now). In the Integration circuit, this serves individual survival and immediate alignment with the environment.
Channel 11-56 · Curiosity
Ajna to Throat
Gate 11 holds an enormous inner library of ideas, impressions, and abstract possibilities. Gate 56 gives that library a storytelling voice. Together they produce the Searcher archetype: someone who makes the world more interesting by translating the richness of their inner world into stories and ideas that genuinely enrich the people around them. The Ajna connects to the Throat in this channel. Ideas flow directly to voice. These people often think by talking: the ideas clarify in the act of expression. In the Collective Sensing circuit, the stories carry the texture of human experience rather than logical proofs.
Channel 12-22 · Openness
Solar Plexus to Throat
Gate 22 is the Solar Plexus's quality of emotional grace: genuine openness to life and the beauty of moving through feeling with authenticity. Gate 12 is the Throat's selectivity: knowing when to speak from the emotional depth and when to hold. Together they produce someone who, when the wave and timing align, can move others deeply through the quality of their presence and voice. The Solar Plexus connects to the Throat in this channel. The emotional quality is given a voice, but Gate 12 holds that voice until the timing is right.
Channel 13-33 · The Prodigal
G to Throat
Gate 13 is the G Center's listening quality: others instinctively feel safe to share their deepest truths with someone who carries it. Gate 33 brings the Throat's capacity for retreat, reflection, and the eventual transmission of what was witnessed. Together they produce the Witness archetype: the one who holds the stories of humanity, retreats to process them, and returns when the time is right. The G Center connects to the Throat in this channel. Gate 13 receives what people share; Gate 33 provides the voice for what is worth transmitting from that reception, but only after retreat and processing.
Channel 16-48 · The Wavelength
Spleen to Throat
Gate 48 holds an immense reservoir of potential knowing: a deep well of accumulated skill and understanding. Gate 16 carries the enthusiasm and expressive Throat voice that brings that depth into skilled, communicable form. Together they produce genuine talent: what looks effortless because it is the product of real, accumulated depth. The Spleen connects to the Throat in this channel. The knowing comes from the body (instinctive, pattern-based, splenic) and expresses through voice and action. In the Collective Logic circuit, the talent here serves the group. The skill demonstrates what is possible and raises the collective standard.
Channel 17-62 · Acceptance
Ajna to Throat
Gate 17 holds structured, evidence-based opinions formed through pattern analysis. Gate 62 gives those opinions an organized, precise Throat voice. Together they produce someone who can observe a situation carefully, form a clear logical view, and communicate it with accuracy and useful detail. The Ajna connects directly to the Throat in this channel. Logical analysis flows to voice. In the Collective Logic circuit, these opinions serve the group by helping people follow sound reasoning and make better decisions. The critical mechanic: Gate 17 opinions must be invited. Sharing logical views without being asked produces resistance, not uptake.
Channel 18-58 · Judgment
Root to Spleen
Gate 58 is the Root's biological insistence on vitality: the pressure that life be fully alive. Gate 18 is the Spleen's instantaneous recognition of what is diminishing that vitality. Together they produce the Insatiability channel: a person who can feel, in their body, exactly what is wrong and has the Root pressure to do something about it. The Root connects to the Spleen in this channel. Gate 58's vitality pressure says life should be better. Gate 18's splenic sensor identifies precisely what is blocking that. In the Collective Logic circuit, the corrections here serve the group, not personal preference.
Channel 19-49 · Synthesis
Root to Solar Plexus
Gate 19 is the Root's acute sensitivity to whether basic needs are being met. Gate 49 holds the Solar Plexus's principled stance about what conditions the tribe operates under, and the revolutionary capacity to act when those conditions are violated. Together they synthesize sensitivity with principle into a coherent position on how the group should function. The Root connects to the Solar Plexus in this channel. Gate 19 senses need; Gate 49 holds the principles that determine how need is met and on what terms. In the Tribal Defense circuit, this channel governs the social contract of the group.
Channel 20-34 · Charisma
Sacral to Throat
Gate 34 is pure Sacral power: the most concentrated life force in the bodygraph. Gate 20 is the Throat's present-moment expression. When these two gates are connected, the Sacral speaks directly without passing through any intermediary. This is the motor-to-Throat connection that makes a Generator a Manifesting Generator. The Sacral connects directly to the Throat in this channel. No detour through the G Center, the Solar Plexus, or the Heart. Power becomes voice and action immediately. In the Integration circuit, this channel serves personal survival and present-moment alignment. The quality it produces: a physical presence that others feel before anything is said.
Channel 20-57 · The Brainwave
Spleen to Throat
Gate 57 is the Spleen's most refined intuitive function: instantaneous body-knowing in the present moment. Gate 20 is the Throat's present-moment expression. Together they produce a voice that bypasses the mental layer entirely and speaks directly from the body's immediate intelligence. Others trust this voice instinctively before they know why. The Spleen connects to the Throat in this channel. The body speaks; the mind follows. In the Integration circuit, this channel serves immediate survival and alignment with the present environment. Gate 57's clarity is always about now: no memory, no projection.
Channel 21-45 · Money
Heart to Throat
Gate 21 carries the Heart/Ego's drive to control and manage resources. Gate 45 is the Throat's voice for distribution: "I have" or "we have." Together they produce the Banker archetype: the natural material leader who manages what the tribe has and communicates clearly how it is allocated. The Heart/Ego connects to the Throat in this channel. Material management has a direct, Ego-powered voice. In the Tribal Ego circuit, this channel governs the material dimension of collective life. Gate 21's will force is real and sustained when deployed correctly. Gate 45's distributive voice communicates material reality with authority.
Channel 23-43 · Structuring
Throat to Ajna
Gate 43 carries individual knowing that arrives fully formed and inexplicable. Gate 23 provides the Throat's capacity to translate that knowing into its simplest communicable form. Together they produce the channel that translates the untranslatable: individual frequency given just enough structure to be received. The Throat connects back to the Ajna in this channel. The expression comes first, then the analytical understanding catches up. In the Individual circuit, the insights here are not collective wisdom or logical conclusions. They are genuinely individual: arrived at through a frequency others cannot replicate.
Channel 24-61 · Awareness
Head to Ajna
Gate 61 carries the Head's pressure toward a truth that is deeply personal and cannot be sourced from outside: a knowing that arrives as conviction before it can be explained. Gate 24 provides the Ajna's return process: the mind that circles back again and again, each time adding something, until the truth eventually finds form. Together they produce the Mindfulness channel: the relentless inner pursuit of individual knowing. The Head connects to the Ajna in this channel. In the Individual circuit, the inner truth here is not shareable through conventional logic.
Channel 25-51 · Initiation
Heart to G
Gate 51 is the Heart/Ego's willingness to be shocked, to voluntarily enter the unknown and the frightening. Gate 25 is the G Center's universal love and innocence: the quality of accepting all of life without agenda. Together they produce the Shaman channel: the person who enters the initiatory shock, integrates it through Gate 25's openness, and returns transformed in a way that serves others. The Heart/Ego connects to the G Center in this channel. This is the only Integration channel that includes the Ego center. The will force here is directed not at work or tribal service but at the individual's own transformation.
Channel 26-44 · Surrender
Heart to Spleen
Gate 44 is the Spleen's acute pattern recognition about people: who has what the tribe needs, based on instinctive reading of behavioral history. Gate 26 is the Heart/Ego's promotional will force: the capacity to persuade and deliver what is genuinely needed. Together they produce the Salesman archetype: someone who can read exactly what is needed and has the sustained will to deliver it. The Heart/Ego connects to the Spleen in this channel. The will force is guided by instinctive intelligence. Gate 44's pattern reading is body-based, not analytical. It arrives as a physical knowing before the mind has named it.
Channel 27-50 · Preservation
Spleen to Sacral
Gate 50 holds the laws and values that define how a tribe should be cared for: the custodian of what is right and genuinely healthy for the group. Gate 27 carries the Sacral's generative drive toward nourishment and care. Together they produce the Custodian channel: caring that is guided by clear values about what actually sustains life. The Spleen connects to the Sacral in this channel. Gate 50's values wisdom is instinctive and immediate: the body knows when what is being done serves genuine wellbeing and when it serves something else.
Channel 29-46 · Discovery
Sacral to G
Gate 29 carries the Sacral's drive to commit fully and sustain that commitment through difficulty. Gate 46 carries the G Center's embodied good fortune: the quality of being in the right place at the right time because the body is genuinely followed. Together they produce serendipitous discovery through sustained, committed experience. The Sacral connects to the G Center in this channel. Gate 29's yes-energy provides the staying power for the full arc of experience. Gate 46's G Center quality ensures the body finds its way to exactly the right place.
Channel 30-41 · Recognition
Solar Plexus to Root
Gate 41 is the Root's pressure of desire: the pressure to begin, to want something new, to reach toward experience. Gate 30 is the emotional fire that gives that desire its intensity. Together they launch the entire abstract circuit's cycle: without desire, the abstract learning journey never begins. The Solar Plexus connects to the Root in this channel. The emotional charge of Gate 30 amplifies and sustains Gate 41's initiating pressure. In the Collective Sensing circuit, this channel does not produce the wisdom itself. It produces the desire that makes the journey toward wisdom possible.
Channel 32-54 · Transformation
Spleen to Root
Gate 54 is the Root's driving ambition: the biological pressure to rise, to transform one's position, to advance what the tribe can be. Gate 32 is the Spleen's instinctive assessment of what will actually endure. Together they produce the Civilisation channel: ambition that is wise because it is continuously calibrated by a body sense of what is worth building. The Spleen connects to the Root in this channel. The endurance instinct is immediate and present-moment, not a long-range intellectual projection. In the Tribal Ego circuit, this channel drives the transformation of collective life over time: each generation reaching beyond the last, guided by an instinctive knowing of what has real staying power.
Channel 34-57 · Power
Spleen to Sacral
Gate 57 is the Spleen's clearest intuitive function: instantaneous present-moment knowing. Gate 34 is the Sacral's most concentrated power. Together they produce a channel where intuition is backed by power and power is guided by intuition. One of the most physically immediate and impactful channels in Human Design. The Spleen connects to the Sacral in this channel. Both centers operate in the present moment, without memory and without projection. In the Integration circuit, this channel serves the individual's immediate survival and environmental alignment. Gate 57 reads what is safe, what is correct, what needs to happen now.
Channel 35-36 · Transitoriness
Solar Plexus to Throat
Gate 36 is the emotional depth that only comes through crisis and full encounter with difficulty. Gate 35 is the Throat's hunger for new experience and the voice that expresses what has been felt. Together they produce the Enigma channel: someone who needs the full range of human emotional experience, who moves through difficulty toward ever-deeper humanness. The Solar Plexus connects to the Throat in this channel. This is a fully emotional channel: its expression rides the wave. Gate 36's depth requires genuine difficulty as its teacher: not manufactured drama but the actual inner movement through what is hard.
Channel 37-40 · Community
Solar Plexus to Heart
Gate 37 is the Solar Plexus's emotional bonding: the warmth, loyalty, and negotiated roles that hold a community together. Gate 40 is the Heart/Ego's will force and equally powerful need for aloneness after exerting it. Together they produce the fundamental tribal agreement: work in exchange for belonging, will force in exchange for nourishment. The Solar Plexus connects to the Heart/Ego in this channel. The bargain runs between them: Gate 40 offers labor; Gate 37 offers emotional belonging in return. When the exchange is fair and both parties honor it, the community is sustained.
Channel 39-55 · Emoting
Solar Plexus to Root
Gate 55 is the Solar Plexus's spirit gate: the seat of individual emotional abundance and the potential for genuine emotional freedom. Gate 39 is the Root's provocative pulse that stirs what is dormant. Together they produce the Moodiness channel: the spirit that will not stay asleep, provoked into aliveness by a pressure it did not choose. The Solar Plexus connects to the Root in this channel. Gate 39 stirs; Gate 55's spirit depth provides the substance the provocation is trying to awaken. In the Individual circuit, this channel carries a pulse rather than a steady state.
Channel 42-53 · Maturation
Sacral to Root
Gate 53 carries the Root's initiating pressure for new cycles. Gate 42 provides the Sacral's sustained energy to carry those cycles through to completion and maturation. Together they produce the full arc: beginning, middle, and genuine completion. The Sacral connects to the Root in this channel. Gate 53's initiating pressure and Gate 42's completing energy are directly linked. When the cycle begins with genuine sacral response, the energy to complete it is intrinsic. In the Collective Sensing circuit, cycles here are about experiential wisdom: the understanding that can only come from a full cycle being run.
Channel 47-64 · Abstraction
Head to Ajna
Gate 64 carries the Head's flood of unprocessed abstract experience: images, memories, impressions that press for meaning. Gate 47 provides the Ajna's struggle to extract that meaning from the chaos. Together they produce the Abstraction channel: a mind that wrestles with the full complexity of human experience until wisdom crystallizes from what looked like confusion. The Head connects to the Ajna in this channel. Where the Collective Logic circuit's 63-4 processes future patterns, this channel processes the past: the accumulated impressions of lived experience that have not yet resolved into understanding.
